The Humble Man

Despise not the man of humble means, Who employs himself to a humble craft, He is not ashamed, For he works to sustain himself and others you see. He earns his bread, Despise him not, For he gets up during dawn, To face the busy streets, He makes himself ready; daily. His hands are not idle, His feet are not lazy, Despise him not, For he does his best to survive, And that is not something he has to be ashamed of, On the contrary, he rejoices in this. His hope prevails, for the better tomorrow, Despise him not, He is a man of humble means. - Written by Célia David Pascoal
